2023/12/21

The Office of Student Affairs is executing the "2023 Higher Education Sprout Project - Improving Financial Aid Measures Plan. (112年高教深耕-完善助學措施計畫)" Starting December 20, an exhibition showcasing the outcomes is being held on the first floor of the Zhong Shan Building (宗山樓) on campus. This plan employs a counseling mechanism called "Learning in Place of Working" and is implemented through three dimensions with a total of nine programs. In 2023, a total of 1,788 individuals completed the program, and a sum of NT$8,576,260 in motivational scholarships was distributed, assisting students in focusing on their studies and successfully completing their academic pursuits.

Dean of Student Affairs, Joyce Kao (高小芳), stated that the plan for this year focuses on three aspects: "Learning Empowerment, Career Empowerment, and Life Empowerment." In addition to presenting the results of each program through posters at the exhibition, a large message board is also set up, encouraging students to express gratitude in words to the teachers and donors who have assisted them. During the opening ceremony, four students shared their personal experiences, expressing gratitude for the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Sprout Project, which has given them more confidence to face future challenges.

The exhibition also featured an experiential activity called "Dream Achievement Card," conducted by the Counseling and Career Development Center (諮商輔導暨職涯發展中心). Through these cards, students engage in discussions with psychologists about their career development. Students are welcome to experience this activity on-site.
