2024/06/19

The 112th academic year (2024) graduation ceremony was grandly held this morning, June 15th, at Zhong Zheng Hall, with the popular culture theme "Walking the Path of Flowers Together." This symbolizes the wish for graduates to bloom like flowers as they step into society and embrace a brilliant future. The event featured popular rapper Lou Jun-Shuo (婁峻碩), who performed to send off and bless over 2,100 graduates. Chairman Hau Bi-Lyan (郝碧蓮), board members, President Liu Kuo-Wei (劉國偉), and faculty attended to extend their blessings to the graduates. Alumni Association President Zeng Ming-Ching (曾明清), school advisor Tsai Tung-Hung (蔡東宏), and other guests from various high schools and vocational institutions were present.

As the school has been designated by the Ministry of Education as the base school for the new overseas program in the Philippines, over 20 foreign guests, including presidents from Adamson University (亞當森大學), Cebu University (宿霧大學), Cebu Technological University (宿霧理工大學), the Technological University of the Philippines (菲律賓科技大學), and EARIST University (羅德里格斯科學技術學院), were specially invited to attend. Additionally, the ceremony featured performances by students from the Philippines and the Indigenous Culture Club, celebrating the first graduating class from the Indigenous Program.

President Liu Kuo-Wei delivered a bilingual speech, welcoming all graduates and their families and friends from home and abroad. He highlighted the school’s role as a cradle for nurturing technological talents, with graduates excelling in industry, AI sensitivity, and international communication, highly favored by enterprises. President Liu encouraged graduates to cherish the bonds formed during their university years, carry their mentors’ blessings, maintain their passion, and continue to blossom on their path of flowers, successfully moving towards a bright future.

The ceremony also featured a keynote speech by Pioneer Material Precision Tech Inc. President Chen Sheng-Piao (陳勝標), who shared his entrepreneurial experiences and challenges. He encouraged graduates with the words "Be smart and brave; remember your roots," urging them to face challenges fearlessly and contribute warmly to society. President Chen, a strong supporter of vocational education, believes that "education is the most important investment." His long-term support for our school's educational equipment and talent cultivation has been invaluable. After his speech, President Liu presented Chen with the "Outstanding Social Contribution Award" in recognition of his contributions to vocational education.

The ceremony continued with the awarding of degree certificates, tassel turning, and various student awards, including those for academics, group activities, sports, service, and diligent learning. Notably, six students—Zeng Huaixuan (曾懷軒), Guo Zhikai (郭智凱), Zhuang Jinbao (莊金寶), Wang Xiyun (王希勻), Chen Meiyi (陳美儀), and Wu Chengyan (吳承晏)—received the "Outstanding Graduate Achievement Award" for their exceptional performance in national competitions, international exchanges, innovative inventions, research, and sports.

The Graduation Committee, which organized this year's ceremony, decorated the campus with flower-themed photo walls for graduates to capture memorable moments. The committee also invited rapper Lou Jun-Shuo, beloved by young people, to perform at the end of the ceremony. His surprise appearance and performance of three songs created a concert-like atmosphere, leaving graduates with joyful memories of their university life during the festive graduation ceremony.
