The Center of Chinese Language Teaching is organizing the "2023 Vietnamese Chinese Language Teachers Professional Development - Semiconductor Technology Chinese Language Training," which will take place for two weeks from July 16th to July 27th. On the morning of July 17th, the opening ceremony was held to welcome the 20 members of the study group.

Vice President Liao, Hsin-Te stated that what sets this study group apart is the incorporation of Chinese Language teaching materials related to the semiconductor industry, utilizing our university's expertise in semiconductor education. This allows the study group participants to learn about technology-related knowledge and become Chinese Language teachers specializing in semiconductor technology.

Mr. Bui Duc Anh, the head of the study group, mentioned that the number of Vietnamese students majoring in Chinese Language is increasing each year but is still unable to meet the demand for Chinese Language-speaking talent among Vietnamese Taiwanese businesses. The Vietnamese Chinese Language teachers' group has come to Taiwan for this study group with the aim of enhancing their Chinese Language teaching techniques and methods, thereby raising the standards of Chinese Language education in Vietnam.

The 20 members of the study group are Chinese Language teachers from 10 universities in Vietnam who have come to Taiwan to enhance their Mandarin teaching skills through this learning experience.

The curriculum of this study group includes theoretical and practical aspects, as well as the application of digital teaching methods. Additionally, there is a specific focus on "Semiconductor Chinese Language Teaching" to enrich Chinese Language teachers with industry-specific teaching knowledge. During the study group, visits to renowned attractions in Hsinchu and other parts of Taiwan will also be arranged, allowing the participants to experience Taiwan's landscapes, culture, and to enhance Taiwan's international influence in Chinese Language education.
