To mitigate the impact of declining birth rates and expand international student recruitment, Minghsin University of Science and Technology has partnered with the local educational institution "Minh Anh Group(明英教育集團)" in Vietnam to jointly establish a United Recruitment Service Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The unveiling ceremony took place on July 6th, with Chairman Chang Chu-Ming(張祖民) and President Liu Kuo-Wei(劉國偉) from Minghsin University, as well as Chairman Huang Wen-Diao(黃文調) from Minh Anh Group. Counselor Chen He-Xian(陳和賢) from the Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, was also invited to attend.

President Liu Kuo-Wei expressed that since 2017, the university has been cooperating with the government's New Southbound Policy in education by offering the "International Student Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs," which currently has 887 international students. Three cohorts of the graduates have returned to their home countries and become influential executives for Taiwanese businesses overseas. To attract young Vietnamese students to study in Taiwan, Minghsin University has partnered with Minh Anh Group to establish a United Recruitment Service Center in Ho Chi Minh City. It will be important in promoting educational exchanges between Taiwan and Vietnam.

Chairman Huang Wen-Diao of Minh Anh Group acknowledged that since the collaboration began in 2018, Minghsin University has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to providing quality courses in theoretical knowledge and practical skills and caring for students' well-being. In the future, more recruitment service centers will be established in other provinces in Vietnam, providing services for Vietnamese students to enroll at Minghsin University and contributing to the development of Vietnam upon graduation.

Counselor Chen He-Xian from the Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, congratulated Minghsin University on establishing the service center in Vietnam. He expected that this initiative would promote bilateral educational exchanges, cooperation, and talent cultivation, resulting in mutual benefits.

Establishing the first overseas office in Ho Chi Minh City marks Minghsin University as the only university in Taiwan with a recruitment service center in Vietnam. The university plans to set up more joint recruitment offices throughout Vietnam, further expanding its reach and solidifying its presence in international student recruitment. (Information and photo sources: the Office of International Affairs)
