推動魅力城鄉之永續發展 終身教育與芎林鄉簽署MOU

      為實踐大學社會責任與辦學理念及精神，同時落實地域振興與創生，在終身教育處的安排下，由校長劉國偉率領團隊，包括終身教育處陳永忠處長、入學服務處古旻陞處長等多位主管，於9月5日下午，前往新竹縣芎林鄉公所與黃正彪鄉長及全體課室主管，簽署「芎林鄉整體規劃暨永續發展合作意向書」。

      會中由社區暨客家事務永續發展中心主任侯順耀以「芎林意轉—魅力城鄉之永續發展」為主題，進行雙方合作模式如何建構的說明；在簡報中，提出以共創、互惠為核心理念的推動策略，並在堅持形塑芎林鄉主體性的前提，以「客庄識別」、「優質農村」、「青年迴游」、「環境永續」及「終身學習」五大面向逐步推動與實踐，挖掘與發覺屬於芎林鄉特有的地方元素，並以此確立雙方未來共同努力之目標及方向。

      「我們成為親家了！」簽約儀式完成後，黃鄉長不改幽默的表示，合作意向書的簽署象徵雙方關係的更緊密，也表示明新科大已然成為鄉公所最堅強的知能後盾與支持力量。黃鄉長也說，希望從當下開始，可以依照合作意向書所提出的整體發展策略，思考如何啟動芎林鄉多元面向計畫的執行與創新想像，亦請與會的各課室主管可依照不同專業之需求與目標，向學校與相關領域老師們來挖寶。

      劉校長也表示，明新科大在地興學已近一甲子，願意以學校的多元專業與豐沛的學術量能建構完備的地方支持系統，深化大學社會責任並培力與實踐地區之永續發展、產業創新、客家文化深耕與青年留鄉創生等事務；透過說地方的動人故事，透過更多文化軟實力的堆疊，建構新客庄生活的「芎林鄉2.0」。

      綜合座談中，雙方亦針對目前芎林鄉的整體發展方向及可能推動的模式，包括未來如何更深化合作關係等重要議題，交換意見，期許芎林鄉與明新科大共同建構兼具地方感與國際觀的地方治理系統與論述。(資料提供/終身教育處)

In pursuit of the University Social Responsibility (USR) and the revitalization and integration of urban and rural regions, the Office of Lifelong Education partnered with the Qionglin Township Office to advance the Sustainable Urban-Rural Development Project. In the afternoon of September 5th, President Liu, Kuo-Wei and Township Mayor Hunag, Jheng-Biao signed the "Cooperative Intent Memorandum for Overall Planning and Sustainable Development in Qionglin Township" on behalf of both parties.

Mayor Hunag stated that the township office and Minghsin are jointly moving by the signing of the memorandum, various policy plans of Qionglin Township will be integrated, infused with the spirit of sustainable development.

President Liu pointed out that as Minghsin has been nurturing education in the local area for 57 years, we has a responsibility and a mission to connect with local government cooperation and development plans. Through collaboration with government agencies, the university aims to deepen its commitment to social responsibility, empower and practice regional sustainable development, drive industrial innovation, foster cultural growth, regional revitalization, and activate local spaces.

During the comprehensive discussion, both sides exchanged views on important topics such as the current overall development direction and potential implementation models in Qionglin Township, as well as future collaborative efforts.(Image and text provided by the Office of Lifelong Education)
