Eligibility Requirements
Apart from publicity, promotion, and assisting students with necessary procedures for coming to Taiwan, our university has not outsourced any admissions-related affairs.
1. Eligibility for International Students
Minghsin University of Science and Technology welcomes students from around the world. However, this program only accepts applicants who meet the eligibility requirements for international students. Please ensure that you qualify as an international student before applying.
Applicants must meet the qualifications outlined in the Ministry of Education’s “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.” Please read the regulations carefully. Violators of these regulations, once verified, will have their admission revoked, be expelled, or have their graduation qualifications annulled. No academic certificate will be issued in such cases.
International students who have completed high school or possess an equivalent level of education are eligible to apply for undergraduate degree programs.
Those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of education are eligible to apply for graduate (master’s) programs.
2. Eligibility for International Transfer Students
International students who have previously studied at universities and meet the transfer student eligibility criteria and related regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Education may apply to transfer into the undergraduate programs at our university.
Fall Semester (September Enrollment):
a. Students who have completed at least two semesters may apply for second-year admission to any department.
b. Students who have completed at least four semesters may apply for second- or third-year admission to any department.
Spring Semester (February Enrollment):
a. Students who have completed at least three semesters may apply for second-year admission to any department.
b. Students who have completed at least five semesters may apply for second- or third-year admission to any department.
3. Credit Transfer
Once admitted, the actual credit transfer will be reviewed and determined by each department, teaching center, or General Education Center. If the transferred credits are insufficient and result in the need to extend the period of study, the student must comply with the regulations. No objections will be accepted.
4. British System Five-Year Secondary Education
Applicants with a five-year British system secondary education (Form 5) must complete additional graduation credits beyond the standard curriculum. The required subjects for the additional credits will be determined separately by the respective department.
