MUST Library Borrowing & Returning Regulations

  • Renewals are permitted only after half of the loan period has elapsed.
  • Please check the due date stamp; overdue books are subject to a fine of NT$2 per item per day.
  • The library sends automated circulation notices via email daily. Please ensure your email account is functioning correctly.
  • Email notices are provided as a courtesy; failure to receive them due to technical issues does not exempt the patron from fines.

1. Library Card Application Form:

Eligibility & Required Documents:

  • Alumni & Retired Staff: Diploma/Retirement ID and ID copy (NT$1,000 Security Deposit)
  • Short-term Staff/Students: ID card and Appointment Letter/MUST ID (NT$1,000 Security Deposit)
  • Friends of the Library: Organization credentials and ID card (NT$1,000 Security Deposit)
  • External Partners: Personnel from partner institutions (NT$3,000 Security Deposit)
 

2. Prospective Graduate Student Application:

Eligibility: Admitted graduate students who have completed check-in but are not yet registered.


3. Proxy Borrowing Authorization:

  1. Proxies are limited to MUST faculty, staff, students, or dependents.
  2. To protect personal rights, the applicant must first apply for proxy authorization at the Circulation Desk.
  3. The proxy must present their own ID, the authorization form, and the applicant's ID.
  4. A loan receipt will be provided; please verify all items to avoid discrepancies.
