[Announcement] The Ministry of the Interior's Land Management Administration reiterates that, starting in 2026, the NT$30 billion Central Government's Expanded Rent Subsidy Project will no longer accept new applications from entities without property tax registration or whose buildings are not registered.

Explanation:

I. This is in accordance with the Ministry of the Interior's Land Management Administration letter dated April 27, 2026, No. 1151078876.

II. According to Article 5, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1 of the NT$30 billion Central Government Expanded Rent Subsidy Project Operation Regulations issued by the Administration on September 5, 2025: "Houses applying for rent subsidies under this project must meet the following requirements; otherwise, the local organizing authority shall reject the application: (i) The building must have a property tax registration and be properly registered or have obtained legal building documentation, and must meet one of the following requirements..." and Paragraph 2 of the same article: "Those who have been approved for rent subsidies under this project in 2025 and are applying for the same rental address in 2026 are not subject to the restrictions of Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1. However, if the rental address is changed during the subsidy period, the rental property must meet the requirements of Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1." and the Ministry's Letter of Understanding dated February 2, 2026 (Taiwan Education (V) No. 1150011102).

Third, the above provisions mean that starting from fiscal year 2026, rental properties applying for the NT$30 billion Central Government Expanded Rent Subsidy Project (hereinafter referred to as "this Project") should have property tax registration and building preservation registration (or have obtained legal building certificates). Buildings without preservation registration, such as top floors, are not eligible to apply for this Project. If a rent subsidy recipient under this Project was approved in fiscal year 2025 and their old case is carried over to fiscal year 2026 and passes the review, they can continue to receive subsidies at the same address until December 31, 2026.
