與新竹國泰醫院產學結盟 運動醫學在地優化

      本校與新竹國泰綜合醫院於1月9日簽署合作意向書，雙方除攜手照顧選手健康及醫療照護外，後續也將陸續進行學術研究、人才培育等合作計畫。新竹國泰醫院成立「疼痛暨運動醫學中心」，特別為明新科大開設預約專線，為選手提供專業諮詢及治療復健，期盼展現最佳實力，以延續選手運動生涯。

      新竹國泰醫院由曾英智院長親自出席，率領院內疼痛暨運動醫學及復健科、護理、行政、醫事等主管與會。曾英智院長表示，新竹國泰醫院成立「疼痛暨運動醫學中心」，成立後即積極照顧明新科大運動代表隊同學，校內多位優秀選手均接受尤俊衛主任專業治療，快速歸隊，以健康的身體繼續在運動場上奔馳。尤醫師曾在明新運動事業管理系授課也是管理研究所畢業校友，學校多位師生均受其治療照顧恢復健康。

      代表簽約的彭政雄副校長表示，校內運動風氣興盛，各代表隊表現極佳，111學年由許聖杰總教練領軍成立公開組棒球隊，在大專公開二級棒球聯賽，首度參賽即以3勝1負的分組第二優異成績晉級複賽備受關注，一般組棒球隊去年拿下全國大專聯賽亞軍，羽球、熱舞、保齡球、健美也分別在大專盃賽拿下多項冠軍。運動事業管理系籃球隊、棒球隊更是雙雙稱霸全國系際盃，勇奪全國大專最強系隊。

      彭副校長也說明，運動選手經長年練習及征戰，傷痛難免，感謝新竹國泰醫院費心照顧明新的孩子，讓他們可以繼續奮戰為校爭光。
      新竹國泰醫院醫師近幾年均到校開設身心健康的課程及講座，透過醫師專業講解帶給學生正確的醫療資訊，以建立正確的醫療常識，透過講座讓學校教職員更能注重自身身體健康。

      曾英智院長表示，很高興能照顧在地學校的運動選手，成立疼痛暨運動醫學中心後特別為明新科大設立預約專線，透過專線由醫院預排看診時間，能解決選手運動醫學的問題，更能為學校師生提供專業諮詢及治療，共同推動國人重視健康理念。

      專線設立後棒球隊多位選手相繼受惠，除公開組棒球隊員至國泰醫院尋求治療外，一般組棒球隊選手也多位因膝蓋十字韌帶受傷、半月板破裂、關節唇受損等傷勢所苦，透過專線及尤醫師的治療，恢復狀況良好，預計可趕上全國決賽展現實力。劉國偉校長也特別對此表達感謝之意，未來運動代表隊選手即可安心至新竹國泰醫院治療，不需再煩惱運動傷害的問題了。(資料來源/運管系、國泰醫院)

Minghsin University of Science and Technology and the Cathay General Hospital Hsinchu Branch signed a memorandum of cooperation on January 9, 2023. In addition to taking care of athletes' health and providing medical care, the two sides will also engage in collaborative projects such as academic research and talent cultivation. The Cathay General Hospital Hsinchu Branch has established the "Pain and Sports Medicine Center" and has set up a dedicated reservation hotline for MUST, providing athletes with professional consultations and rehabilitation treatments to help them maintain their best performance and continue their athletic careers. 

Dr. Tseng Ying-Chin, President of the hospital, personally attended the signing ceremony along with the heads of the Pain and Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation Department, nursing, administration, and medical affairs. Dr. Tseng stated that the Cathay General Hospital Hsinchu Branch established the "Pain and Sports Medicine Center" and set up a dedicated reservation hotline for MUST, allowing the hospital to schedule appointments for athletes quickly. Many outstanding athletes at MUST have received professional treatment from Director You Chun-wei(尤俊衛) and have returned to competition rapidly. The collaboration between the two sides not only solves the problem of sports medicine for athletes but also provides professional consultations and treatments for students and staff, promoting the importance of health among the public.   

Dr. Peng Cheng-Hsiung, Vice President of MUST, who represented the university at the signing, stated that sports at the university have thrived, and various teams have performed exceptionally well. In 2022, under the leadership of Coach Hsu Sheng-Chieh, the university established an open baseball team, which participated in the National Intercollegiate Second Division Baseball League for the first time and advanced to the playoffs with an excellent record of three wins and one loss. The general baseball team won the runner-up in the National Intercollegiate League last year, and the badminton, dance, bowling, and bodybuilding teams have also won multiple championships in intercollegiate competitions. The basketball and baseball teams of the Sports Industry Management Department have also dominated the National Departmental Cup, winning the title of the strongest departmental team in the country. Vice President Peng also thanked the Cathay General Hospital Hsinchu Branch for taking care of MUST students so that they can continue to strive for excellence. 

In recent years, doctors from the Cathay General Hospital Hsinchu Branch have come to the university to offer courses and lectures on physical and mental health, providing students with correct medical information and building the correct medical knowledge. Through these lectures, university faculty and staff can also pay more attention to their own physical health. 

President Liu Kuo-Wei expressed gratitude and expectations for the cooperation between the two sides, and athletes of the sports teams can now seek treatment at the Hsinchu Cathay General Hospital without worrying about sports injuries.
