雙語教育中心雙語數位學伴計畫 扎根偏鄉雙語教育

      雙語教育中心獲教育部補助推動「雙語數位學伴計畫」,培育校內11位大學生,成為具輔導英文教學資格小老師的大學伴,協助小學英語教學,藉由遠距教學,輔導北台灣6所偏鄉小學,成為77位小學生的專屬的線上英文學習輔導小老師,進行為期1年半,共3個學期的雙語數位遠距教學。

      雙語教育中心日前(10月27日)邀請「雙語數位學伴計畫」輔導學校之一的苗栗大湖的栗林國小師生,在進行1年多的線上教學陪伴後,小學伴們第一次來到學校與大學伴相見歡。栗林國小倪明宗校長特別帶領9位老師、包括10位英語小學伴的30名小朋友們到明新科大雙語教育中心參觀。可愛的小學生們對大學校園環境與教學設備感到好奇。

      雙語教育中心安排栗林國小師生參訪校內的「APEC國際會議模擬教室」、雙語互動牆,及參觀半導體類產線教室。在雙語教育中心的大學伴引導下,小朋友們利用AR(擴增實境)與MR(混合實境)教學設備,模擬APEC國際會議元首虛擬互動。另外,也實地操作「雙語互動牆」,以遊戲破關練習英文單字,活潑生動的畫面與遊戲方式,讓小朋友們從遊樂中學得開心。

      大學伴們也帶著栗林國小的小朋友們前往校內「半導體封裝測試類產線」教室參觀,小學伴們看到實驗室裡,一台台比他們高大的機台設施,及模擬高科技業的工作環境都覺得好奇。大學伴也藉機以深入淺出的方式讓小朋友們瞭解半導體技術的發展與應用。並體驗實際的科學工作環境。最後,安排栗林國小師生到保齡球館體驗打保齡球的樂趣,歡樂一下。

      雙語教育中心余沛錞主任表示,本校推動國際化校園環境、國際化雙語課程以及提升學生英語能力不遺餘力。雙語教育中心獲得教育部「111-112雙語數位學伴計畫」補助,協助北台灣6所偏鄉小學英語教學,線上輔導部分學生課後英語學習,以教育夥伴關係的型式,有專屬大學伴陪同學習與輔導下,帶動小學端的小朋友學習英語的樂趣與成效,也是雙語教育加上數位學習的最佳實踐。(資料提供/雙語教育中心)

The Center for Bilingual Education has received support from the Ministry of Education(MOE) for its "Bilingual Digital Learning Program, MOE(教育部數位雙語學伴計畫)." The program aims to train university students on campus to become qualified English teaching assistants who can assist elementary school students with their English learning through online instruction. This initiative spans a year and a half, divided into three semesters of bilingual digital distance education.


On October 27th, the Center for Bilingual Education invited students and teachers from Lilin Elementary School(栗林國小), Dahu Township, Miaoli County, one of the partnered schools in the " Bilingual Digital Learning Program," to the university campus. After more than a year of online teaching support, elementary school students visited the university for the first time. They had the chance to meet the university students who had been guiding them online in their English studies. The young and curious elementary students were intrigued by the university campus environment and teaching facilities.


The Center for Bilingual Education organized a tour for the elementary school students to visit the "APEC International Conference Simulation Classroom," the " Interactive Wall Game-Bilingual Learning Technology," and also the Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Factory classrooms.


This collaboration, supported by the Ministry of Education's "Bilingual Digital Learning Program of Year 111 to 112," aims to assist English language instruction in six rural elementary schools in Northern Taiwan. Through online guidance, the program helps students with their post-class English language learning. This partnership approach encourages the elementary school students to enjoy and excel in their English language education, making it a prime example of the best practices in bilingual education combined with digital learning.
