Introduction

Introduction to the Library and Information Office:

On February 1, 2021, the Library and Information Office of our university merged into a single unit and was renamed the "Library and Information Office." On May 21, 2021, it was further integrated into the Art Center. According to the organizational regulations of our university, the Office consists of one Dean, one Vice Dean, one secretary, and three groups: Library Resource Services Division, Technical Services Division, and System Maintenance & Operation Division. The Art Center is also part of the Office, led by a director, with several staff members.

Information Building - Office of the Technical Services Division.

 

Development Features and Objectives:

1.Enriching diverse and distinctive collections and optimizing the environment: The library has completed specialized sections such as health and leisure, early childhood education, Yu You-ren, English comics, Chinese language books, and more. In recent years, areas such as the diverse reading zone, ocean-themed leisure reading area, creative memory space, and exhibition area for historical artifacts have also been completed.

2.Continuously organizing thematic book exhibitions to enhance students' humanistic literacy and reading culture.

3.Enhancing digital resources and aiming for digitalization of the library collection to provide a collection service that is both extensive and of high quality.

4.Organizing library resource utilization courses and promoting activities related to electronic resources to increase the usage of library resources.

5.Promoting the mobile version of the university and library website service project to provide a high-quality digital learning environment and enhance reader satisfaction.

6.Planning and managing the entire university's library, computer, and network resources to support information instruction and research development in various departments. Promoting computerization of administrative affairs, providing comprehensive and secure information services to faculty and students, and creating a high-quality digital learning environment.

7.Supporting teaching, research, and the promotion of computerization of administrative affairs to enhance student learning outcomes, accelerate academic exchange among faculty and students, and improve administrative efficiency.

8.Purchasing legally licensed software for teaching and administrative purposes and promoting respect for intellectual property rights. Utilizing campus wireless networks, providing convenient mobile communication for faculty and students, and further enhancing student learning efficiency, spreading the concept of "learning can happen anywhere and anytime" throughout the campus.
