Our university is actively promoting internationalization and seeking international educational resources. President Liu Kuo-wei, along with Dr. Yang Yu-hui, Director General of the Department of Technological and Vocational Education at the Ministry of Education, visited relevant institutions in the United Kingdom from September 17th to 25th. They were joined by representatives from 11 other technological universities in Taiwan. During this visit, they participated in the 'Taiwan-UK Technical and Vocational Education Exchange Meeting' held on September 19th, where they gained insights into the UK's implementation of degree apprenticeships, industry-academic collaboration models, and practical learning programs.

Led by the Ministry of Education, the delegation of 12 Taiwanese technological universities, including National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, National Formosa University, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Cheng Shiu University, Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, and our university, attended the "Taiwan-UK Higher Vocational and Technical Education Exchange Conference" in the UK. They engaged in discussions and exchanges with representatives from the UK's Department for Education, Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, International Education Team, Department for Business and Trade, University Alliance, Universities UK International, University of West London, Middlesex University, University of Hertfordshire, Kingston University, and University of Brighton. This conference laid the foundation for the establishment of the "Taiwan-UK Higher Vocational and Technical Universities Alliance."

This exchange conference was a collaborative effort between schools and organizations from Taiwan and the UK. President Liu Kuo-wei represented our university and had the privilege of being part of the starting point for cooperation in higher vocational and technical education between the two countries. This marks a significant step towards internationalizing our education. We will continue to participate in the operation of the "Taiwan-UK Higher Vocational and Technical Universities Alliance," leveraging our strengths and influence in semiconductor technology education. We aim to contribute to talent development and industrial growth in both countries, introduce international resources, and provide students with a broader international perspective and development opportunities.
