終身教育處推動韌性客庄之永續發展 與關西鎮簽署合作計畫MOU

      本校為實踐大學社會責任(USR)與地域振興理念，6月30日下午由劉國偉校長率領彭政雄副校長、終身教育處陳永忠處長、入學服務處古旻陞處長等人，前往新竹縣關西鎮公所拜會陳光彩鎮長及相關課室進行座談，同時簽署「關西鎮整體規劃暨永續發展合作意向書」，期許成為關西在地發展的夥伴力量。

      雙方交流座談中，陳光彩鎮長幽默的表示，合作意向書的簽署，如同男女雙方完成訂婚手續，下一階段就是要送入洞房。他期待雙方接續依合作意向書整體策略，規劃串接關西鎮各面向計畫內容的實際執行與推動，也請各課室主管依照不同領域需求，盡量向明新科大老師們「挖寶」。

      劉國偉校長表示，明新科大在地興學57年接近一甲子，學校多元專業與豐沛的學術量能建構完備的支持系統，深化大學社會責任並培力及實踐地區永續發展、產業創新、客家文化深耕與青年留鄉創生等事務；在地深耕的明新，有責任也有使命感分享學校資源鏈結在地政府施政，促進地方永續。劉校長也打趣的回應，感謝陳光彩鎮長的支持，讓明新與關西鎮的締結合作，更有在地「光彩」。

      本次座談，由終身教育處社區暨客家事務永續發展中心侯順耀主任，以「關西轉譯-韌性客庄永續發展」為主題簡報，用共創、互惠為核心的推動策略，在關西鎮的主體架構下，規劃了「客庄譯別」、「優質農村」、「青年迴游」、「環境永續」及「終身學習」五大面向，做為雙方共同努力之目標，將逐步推動與實踐。(資料、照片提供/終身教育處)
In pursuit of its University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives, Minghsin University of Science and Technology, led by President Liu Kuo-Wei, visited Guanxi Township Office in Hsinchu County on the afternoon of June 30th. They met with Mayor Chen Kuang-Tsai and relevant departments for a discussion. During the meeting, both parties signed the "Cooperative Intent Memorandum for Overall Planning and Sustainable Development in Guanxi Town," solidifying Minghsin University's role as a strong partner in the Guanxi's sustainable development.

Mayor Chen Kuang-Tsai expressed that the signing of the memorandum is like an engagement, with the next step being marriage and starting a family. He hopes to "unearth treasures" from the professors at Minghsin University, allowing the collaboration to translate into tangible actions that align with various projects in Guanxi Town.

President Liul Kuo-Wei mentioned that with 57 years of local education, Minghsin University has the responsibility and a sense of mission to share its resources and collaborate with the local government to promote regional sustainability. He playfully remarked that with Mayor Chen Kuang-Tsai's support, the collaboration between both parties will make Guanxi Town even more "GLORIOUS(Its meaning equivalents to the Mayor Chen’s Chinese name’s pronunciation Guāngcǎi.)".

During the meeting, the team of the Office of Lifelong Education presented on the topic of "Guanxi Transformation: Resilient Hakka Community Sustainable Development." The presentation outlined a collaborative and mutually beneficial strategy, focusing on five major aspects: "Distinctive Hakka Culture," "Quality Rural Living," "Youth Tourism," "Environmental Sustainability," and "Lifelong Learning."
