Waste and Resource Recycling Advocacy

  1. 113th Academic Year Campus Waste Classification Advocacy
  2.
  3. 1.The Xin-Feng Township Clean Team has informed us that the Hsinchu County incineration plant will start its operation on December 18, 2024 (Wednesday). They require our school to strictly comply with waste classification. If the waste classification is found to be incomplete during this period, the clean-up team will not proceed with the waste collection for that day.
  4.
  5. 2.The General Affairs Office, to promote campus environmental knowledge and educational quality, is actively advocating for four key areas: waste reduction, recycling, advocacy, and sustainability, aiming to improve the campus waste management situation. Therefore, all faculty, staff, students (including international students), and on-site vendors are asked to comply with the relevant waste classification system.

  6.

  7. 3.We kindly request that all administrative and academic units (including student dormitories) responsible for waste collection in their areas ensure clear classification. The General Affairs team will check the classification during each waste disposal period. If the waste is not properly classified, the General Affairs staff will not collect it.

  8.

  9. 4.Regarding food waste recycling, each unit is requested to set up a food waste bin and bag it (do not mix with regular waste), and bring it to the waste truck according to the scheduled waste collection time for morning and afternoon.

  10.

  11. 5.According to the recycling standards, additional waste paper tableware recycling bins should be set up. Please ensure that all areas under your responsibility have these bins for the recycling of paper tableware (not classified as regular waste or paper). Before disposal, please make sure to remove food waste and soup. Recycling labels are attached for download and placement.
